Super Villain Prank
I was a Super Hero (Villain) for a day.
"Ring!" went my alarm clock. Immediately, I rose out of my bed. I was eating breakfast when I noticed something: I was invisible! A mischievous plan came to my mind like a bee to a flower. I could scare my friends with these powers, so I finished breakfast and went outside to try to scare my friends. It was Saturday and my parents were on a business trip. I had plenty of time to complete my plan. I ran so fast, that I seemed to almost be flying. In fact, I was flying! I spied my friends near the playground, playing tag. I sneaked up onto my friend, Tom, and screamed in his ear. "Who was that?" screamed Tom. I could barely suppress a laugh. Then I tapped his shoulder to make more fun of him, and this time he ran. He yelled, “Help! There's a ghost!"But my other friends didn't believe him. "Yeah right, there are no ghosts around here," they replied. "Boo, Ha, ha, ha!" said another boy."Fine, if you don't believe me then don't blame me if the ghost gets you," Tom grumbled. After he said this, I decided to help him out by scaring one of them. I got a mask, that looked like an alien face and put it on, and then I put a sheet over my body, so it looked like a floating sheet. Then I sneaked up behind one of the boys, Jeff, and tapped his shoulder. He turned around and said, "You can't fool me, take off that silly sheet, so I can see who you are." I didn't reply and he said again, "Fine! If you won't take it off, I'll take it off for you." Instantly, he took the sheet off of me to reveal a floating mask. It was really me, but since I was invisible Jeff couldn't see me. "It's a GHOST!" he ran away screaming. Now the boys believed that there really was a ghost and they all hid under a tree. They armed themselves with sticks and rocks, which is pathetic in my opinion at that time, but then that all changed. I saw them all hiding inside a bush, with some sticks and shoes protruding out. I planned to shake the bush to scare them, and I flew up to the bush. I shook the bush like I was shaking a person that had gone crazy. Weirdly, I heard no noise, however a few seconds later a net dropped onto me. The boys in the bushes were dummies! The real boys were hiding up in the trees. They had me now. Just before the started hitting me with rocks and sticks, I shouted out, "Stop! It's me, Kevin!" Just then, they froze. Amazingly, I became visible that very second. Luckily, I had clothes on."So it was you!" Jeff said, "You were pretending to be a ghost!""Yep," I replied like it was nothing, but they were still mad at me. I wanted to be invisible so I can get away, and all of a sudden, I was invisible again. I knew I was onto something.

Alien Encounter
was snoring like an elephant, when a sudden “Whoosh” sound woke me up. Then I heard a loud clank as if something metal hit the ground. Sleepily, I rose, while rubbing my eyes, and looked out the window. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I rubbed my eyes and blinked even more in disbelief. I quickly put on my slippers and raced downstairs. I slammed the door open and raced out. In front of me, I saw a disk. It wasn’t a normal disk-it was huge. Then I noticed metal rods protruding from the disk. I knew immediately it was a spaceship. "It’s just a joke," I thought to myself. I didn’t want to think about what would happen if aliens captured me. As if to my despair, a walkway came down. Out came three aliens, who looked like humans, except they were web-liked. They were very moist and smelled like this slime my science teacher told me about. “We are visiting this planet,” one of them said, “Will you be our guide?”I didn’t want to know what would happen if I said no. So I said, “Sure, I’ll be your guide, where do you want me to show you around?”“Show us the Earth,” said another one of them.“Follow me,” I replied. I took them into my house. Then I showed them how to switch on lights (which they were playing with for a long time).I showed them the bathroom, the kitchen and my bedroom. In each room, they found their own favorite “toy”. I showed them pictures of places all over the Earth, from the Grand Canyon to the Pyramids Of Egypt. In fact, they loved Earth. Well, until I told them about global warming, the economy, and natural disasters. They walked back to their spaceship, stunned. I moved their spaceship into the garage and covered it so my parents wouldn’t be suspicious. The next day, they tell me they’re about to blow up the world, so they could end our misery. That’s when I knew I had to tell someone, but I couldn’t. I was home alone. I tried to convince them to change their minds, and told him about the good parts of Earth, but they were stubborn. Slowly, but surely, a plan came to my mind. “Hey, if you want to blow up the world, I know a bomb that could, and where to put it,” I said. Luckily, they didn’t have a bomb, so they followed me. I brought them down to the basement and told them the bomb was inside. When we were walking inside, they tripped me and locked me inside. “Shoot! They cheated me when I was about to cheat them!” I thought to myself. Then I remembered my mom kept a spare key in here, just in case if someone got locked inside. Only problem was I didn’t know where it was. I started looking through the baskets and cabins. If somebody saw me now, they would think I was a thief. Finally I found it. The key was in a cabinet by the door. I quickly opened the door and ran outside to see where those slimy aliens went. They were on the roof holding some weird crystal that was glowing green. I was too late. What happened was amazing, the earth expanded and grew bigger. When they said blow up, they meant to make the Earth bigger. Now the Earth is big enough for everyone, and enough Carbon Dioxide. Then suddenly I heard something ring. One Alien had some sort of a cell phone. After the phone call ended, he told us they had to go. That was the last time I saw them.
Allergy to Peanuts Story
After a long day, I came home from soccer practice. On this day, I experienced the worst time in my life, and I was ten years old. It all started on a Saturday night when I went to eat dinner. This event taught me something important: I can never be too careful. I think you should also always be careful, and you’ll learn why.
I was doing some homework when my dad called me downstairs to eat dinner, so down I went into the living room. I started eating and at the same time I talked with my brother. My dad scolded me for eating and talking and he told me not to waste time and to hurry up eating so I could finish my homework. So reluctantly, I stopped talking and continued eating. Almost immediately after, my eyes landed on some food my dad bought from the store. It looked like rice, but at the same time it didn’t, so I decided to taste it. This was my fatal mistake. Instantaneously, my throat swelled up and I had trouble breathing, but the main part was my neck. It had a weird feeling, like it was swelling up and it was annoying me more than it was hurting me. Soon after although, my stomach started hurting and I felt like I was going to throw up and at the same time have the weird feeling in my neck. I knew the culprit was some sort of peanut oil, which then I tried to spit it out, but I failed miserably. I silently cursed George Washington Carver and other peanut product makers for making my enemies, peanuts, so that it could be inserted into various kinds of food. As soon as I found out that there still was peanut oil in my mouth, I ran to the sink. Then I turned on the faucet and desperately tried to wash the oil out, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t get it out. Until my dad came to tell me he had some medicine for me, I didn’t know what to do. After he gave me the medicine, some weird pill, I got a glass of water and then drank the water with the pill. Even after this I still didn’t feel good, so my dad told me to eat some more food, because it would help my body. I tried to eat, but I must have lost my appetite, because instead of eating, I did the opposite. While I was trying to eat something, I felt something come up. I knew immediately that I was going to vomit, so I ran to the nearest “deposit” area, if you get what I am saying. The nearest deposit area was through the backdoors and into the backyard. And because this all happened at night, it was almost pitch black outside, but still I ran outside and threw up, Actually I didn’t really go outside at all. I just ran to the doorway and leaned forward, so that only my head was outside. After this, my dad told me to go upstairs and watch television to try to make me feel better. The only T.V. in my house that worked was in my parents’ room, so I went to my parents’ room and found my mom lying in bed watching T.V. as usual. Basically, my mom and I were fighting over which channel to watch. She wanted to watch this Chinese program that I had no idea was about, and I wanted to watch cartoons. Our argument continued until my dad came and broke up the fight. I guess it was easy for him, because I could barely talk and my mom had a sore throat, and he was perfectly fine. He made us both watch Law and Order, which I am O.K. with, and so is my mom, but I still would have preferred to watch cartoons. But anyways, I guess my dad fixed the problem. While I was watching the show, I sat in a chair with a towel wrapped around me. Every once and a while, I had to stand up and run to the toilet, because I had to throw up, but every time it was a false alarm. My stomach hurt like someone kicked me in the stomach and my throat was swelled up badly so I could barely whisper. My breathing was restricted, because whenever I start breathing too fast, my chest would hurt. This continued until somewhere around 12:00, I fell asleep. I thanked God for letting me finally fall asleep, and the next day I felt fine.
Now you know why you can never be too careful. If I was more careful, I would have never eaten the peanut oil, so then I would have never had to go through this terrible experience. Today I think that I was foolish to let my guard down. All in all, I learned that I should always be careful about my allergy, but I am failing to be careful. I had two recent allergic reactions, all do to careless errors. L

Tall Tale--John Bill VS Davy Crocket
John Bill killed his first bear when he was three. I heard that John was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As a newborn, John could holler so loud he scared all the fish out of the rivers and streams. His parents had to milk two dozen cows every morning and night to keep his milk bottle full and his mother had to feed him ten barrels of porridge every two hours to keep his stomach from rumbling and knocking the house down. Later, after his early years, he could skin a bear before you could clap your hands. In fact, he after he used his knife, he had to get a new one, because the old one was broken. John could spin his hands so fast, that he could make a tornado, and then he would jump onto the tornado and ride it around. One day, Davy Crockett challenged John to a contest. The Contest would have three parts, and the first part was a fishing contest. The second part was a hunting contest, and the third part was a wrestling contest. John gladly accepted. For the first part, Davy got to fish first. He took out his musket, and fired 500 shots into the pond. There was no fish left, so John went to a different pond. John screamed as loud as he could, and all the fish jumped out of the water. Then John quickly caught all of them with his knife. They both smiled at each other, because the first part was a tie.Secondly, was the hunting part, in which they both had to hunt an animal, and by the end of one hour, one of them would be chosen as the winner by a judge. So they both set out in search of an animal. John went into a forest looking for a bear to hunt. He found a bear cave, and he hollered as loud as he could to scare the bear. The bear was frightened alright. I think it screamed, but others think he was hollering back. But both ways, he was angry. John tried using his knife, but the bear was too tough. So John socked him in the face and he fell down. Then John kicked him so hard, he went flying and made Crater Lake when he hit the ground. John took him to the judge and Davy had caught an alligator. The Judge said it was a tie, so only the third part remained. Who ever wins this, wins the contest. Now came the wrestling part. A mat was made especially for this wrestling match. It was larger than a house, and Davy and John stepped onto the mat. John started the match by punching Davy so hard, that it would have sent a bull flying to Florida. But Davy stood his ground. John tried to punch him again, but it was now use. Davy was a mountain. John kept on trying to punch Davy across the mat, but he couldn’t. He got tired and tired until he fell asleep. John had lain down for more than 10 seconds. Davy had won. When John woke up, he was so angry that he lost the contest, the smashed his hands onto the ground so hard that he made the Grand Canyon. When the dirt went flying through the air, John kicked it so hard, that it made the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

Global Warming
Global warming is a big problem today. Some people know that, others don't. Do you know why global warming is a big problem? Well, I going to tell you why. First of all, it is a big problem because if global warming keeps on going the ocean would rise rapidly and flood lots of land. In this land there are some major cities, so that would cause a lot of trouble. Secondly, it would shorten food because global warming harms and kills algae, and algae is a main source of food in the ocean. That would cause a shortage of food in the ocean. So that takes sea food off of the list. Third of all, it would also cause many droughts and floods that would lead to many troubles. The cause of this is evaporation and raining

Trapped 2
If you didn't read "Trapped 1" already, please read it before you read the rest of this. P.S. It is next after this blog.
Introduction
When we last left off, Davy Stark was stuck in a bad situation. He was tied up to a chair, blindfolded, and gaged. He also heard his bodyguard, Brad, talking about him. Now, he was thinking about why this was going on.
Trapped 2
Brad didn't like Davy, because he didn't get a high pay, he wasn't treated well, he didn't get any respect, and lots of other things. He agreed with some other people that didn't like Davy Stark, to kidnap Davy and hold him for ransom. He told Tom Handly and Justin Linbrook to wait for him and tie Davy up and take him to the back of Ethan Fin's van. Matt and him would get in the van and drive to the haunted house 37 miles away on a old dirt road. The rest would follow in there own cars.
Davy was sitting in his dress room, when the 2 men from picked him up and put him somewhere. Then all of a sudden, what ever he was sitting on started to move and stop, move and stop, move and stop... After a while, Davy started to feel bumps, hear people talking, and hear police sirens for a while. Then the thing he was sitting in suddenly stopped. A door opened and someone carried him out. Now where am I going, thought Davy.

Here he was, Davy Stark the big rock star. It was the end of an exciting 5 hour concert. The fans cheered and screamed. Davey's head poured with sweet like a fountain, his face was red from singing, and his heart pumped and thumped like a drum. He felt like he was in power and control. He decided to do a couple more songs: his most favorite ones. When he started, the crowd went wild. At the end, he went back into his dressing room and found 2 men waiting for him. They locked the door behind him and Davey shouted for his bodyguard Brad, but no one came. The men tied Davey to a chair, blindfolded him, and gaged Davy. Davy heard his bodyguard next door taking to someone else and saying that Davy deserved it. Why Davy thought to himself, What is going on?

The Truth about Jack
In The Truth about Jack the giant of Jack and the beanstalk talks about what really happened. He says that Jack lied. The giant is a decent fellow, really.
First of all, the giant is a decent fellow because he offered Jack dinner and sweets. Jack was climbing up the beanstalk and went into the giant's castle when the giant met him. The giant says," Jack climbed up the and burst into my castle. He wasn't very polite, but I waned company and offered him diner and sweets." The giant offered Jack dinner and sweets even though Jack wasn't very polite. This shows that he is a decent fellow.
Secondly, the giant is a decent fellow because he even tried to have a conversation with Jack about the world below. So he really cares about other people . He days," As I tried to have a pleasant conversation to learn about the world below, Jack's eyes wandered around the room." He says he wanted to learn about the world below which means he cares about others.
Thirdly, the giant is a decent fellow because he even wanted to be friends with Jack, which means he is friendly. The story says," Since I had spent so much time alone, I wanted Jack to be my friend." This says that the giant wanted to be friends with Jack
In conclusion, the giant is a decent fellow because he offered Jack dinner and sweets, tried to learn about the world , and tried to be friends with Jack. So don't believe Jacks version, and believe the Giant.

3/12/09 at school
Today when I got to school; the bell rang as soon as I got there. I lined up with my class and Mr. M let us in. On the white board, there were 2 math questions. The first question was about comparing fractions, and the second was very hard. After we watched CNN Student News, we started to correct last night’s homefun (homework). But we didn’t finish and had to go to P.E.
For P.E., we started with a lap around the field and played Sharks and Minnows. “Great” I thought to myself, I loved Sharks and Minnows. Next, we played Capture
The Flag.
Next in line was our Social Studies Test. After I finished the test I started on my homefun (homework) for tonight.
During recess, I played handball with Ethan L. and Rachel. I was going to practice the poetry project with them but no one brought the poem. The bell rang after a while.
After the whole class got back into the classroom, we did SSR (Silent Sustained Reading). Mr. M told everyone to get into groups by the book they were reading (21 Balloons, From the Mixed-Up Files of Basil E. Frankweiler, Shiloh, or The Phantom Tollbooth). Mr. M went to a group and talked to them about the book they were reading.
The next topic was writing. Mr. Manchester pulled cards and who ever was pulled had to describe a work of art in their house. Mine was about this couch which had carvings on it.
Before lunch, we did a spelling test and had a Wordly Wise Game Show. My table group (San Juan Capistrano) tied with San Luis Obispo. During Lunch I was practicing the play and playing handball at the same time with the people in my group (Ethan L., Manasa, Rachel, Payal, and me). About 40 min. later (I think) the bell rang and we lined up.
When the class got back in, the A/V club (my club) went first to the library. Mrs. Fitzgerald (the Liberian) told us that there was going to be a book fair soon and showed us some new books.
It was Drama club’s turn to go to the library so we went back to the classroom. Mr. M said it was time to change, so Drama went to the library. The A/V club then went outside to film there movies in groups. My group is Suhas, Daniel, and me. After a while Mr. M told everyone to go in.
When we got in, we were by ourselves meaning the other group wasn’t back yet. Mr. M said to get out our binders and we were going to do a Mad Lib. I liked Mad Libs because they are funny. Once we were done we copied tonight’s homework down and had some R.A. After we finished R.A., Mr. M dismissed us. It was the end of today.

A Poem about January
January
By Jasun ChenThe sky's a white blanket,
covering everything from chimneys to trees,
it covers everything ,
to as far as the eye sees.
Happy faces are here and there,
and so are fireworks,
A family sits together,
as one reads a book.
Kids catch snowflakes on their tongue,
and have fun snowball fights,
people go see white mountains ,
and other a snowy sights.
I like to drink hot chocolate,
near the fireplace,
as it warms up

Today At School
"Ding Ding Ding"rang the bell. My class went in. First, we did some math on the white board. Then we corrected some math homework. After that, Mr. Manchester our teacher told us about the math team. He would choose 4 students from the class for the math team. He would choose 4 students for the math team by seeing which one of us is the best math person. To add to our chances to get in the math team, he is giving us a test. Which he gave us and after that it was recess.
During recess I played with my friend Jasper. Jasper and I played Star Wars. Next the bell rang and we went in.
SSR(silent sustained reading) was next. I'm reading The Horse and His Boy.We read for about 20 min. Then we had our DOL Quiz and Wordly Wise test. When we were done we read some more.
Some time later, it was Music. Mr. Manchester dismissed us by our tables. During Music my music teacher Mrs. Gray taught the whole forth grade Jingle Bells. And after that it was Lunch.
For lunch, I ate a chicken bake. During lunch recess I played with Jasper again.
Next was science lab. For science lab, my class studied rocks. We look at the rocks texture and streak. We went back to class.
When we went back to class and we had read aloud. After that Brian passed out cookies and I went home.

Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing
The name of a book I read is Tales Of a Fourth Grade Nothing by: Judy Blume. The story takes place in modern New York. The characters are Peter,a 9-year-old boy, and his brother Fudge, a 2-year-old boy. The problem is that Fudge keeps on messing up everything and gets all the attention, and makes Peter fell like nothing.
For example, at the park Peter's mom leaves Fudge and puts a girl named Shelia Tubman in charge of Fudge. Then Shelia goofs off and plays and Fudge climbs to the top of a playground and tries to fly. But he can't so he fell down and knocked his two front teeth out. But Peter's mom blamed Peter even though Shelia was in charge of Fudge. This made peter feel like nothing.
Another example of Fudge getting all the attention and making Peter feel like nothing is when they went to the dentist and the nurse pays more attention to Fudge than Peter. Then Fudge won't open his mouth and the dentist uses Peter to make Fudge open his mouth. This makes Peter feel like nothing.
At the end of the book. Peter's problem is solved when Fudge eats Peter's turtle. . And he goes to the hospital and everyone pays attention to Fudge but when they get the turtle out, Peter's parents realized that they been letting Fudge take all the attention and to make it up to Peter they get him a dog. Then Peter feels like something.

Bankrupts
The economy is falling apart because of stores going bankrupt and banks also. Most adults know this, but children? Most children do not know because no one tells them. So I'm going to tell you children but adults you already know this. A bankrupt happens when not enough people go to a store. So the store doesn't make that much money. So the problem is that the store owner needs to pay for everything[products, A.C.,employees,and e.t.c.]. Then the store does not have enough money. Now you might be asking,"But what causes customers to not buy products?"The answer is TAXES. PEOPLE ARE GETTING TAXED MORE AND SO THEY WANT TO SAVE MONEY. So they stop spending that much money and stores lose money. And the store closes down.
There is another type of bankrupt. It's the one about banks. When people loan money they take money from a bank because they want a house but they have to pay the bank back per a month, the money given to the bank is called mortgage. And the person also haves to give some extra money because the bank wants to earn money. Some banks failed to check the persons background and how much money they earn. So when the person fails to pay back the bank the bank takes the house. So say a person uses a loan from the bank to pay for a $500,000 house. HE fails to pay the mortgage and the bank takes the house but the house is only $300,000. So the bank loses money. And it also closes down.
There are people who try to save stores and banks. Some succeeded and others failed. But I won't be getting into that now.

The Great Earthquake
The eager earthquake trembled like a mad man. Buildings toppled on to the ground. The noise of the distance screams and falling buildings was so loud my head almost popped off. The earth shacked like the world was going to crack in half. Cracks in the earth dashed toward you like lighting striking. The toppling towers fell like books pushed over. Fired raced for things like racers trying to get to the finish line. Everyone ran like a evil lord has come back alive and is destroying everything in sight until it was a wasteland. Electric wires from building shocked and sprayed shocks every where and burned. After the quake people were as happy as kids after Christmas Eve.

Disneyland, California
October 24, 2008, the night I went to Disneyland. My family and I [my mom, my dad, my brother, and my grandparents] got there right before 9:00. At Disneyland, people were getting ready for the fireworks. A loud speaker announced the fireworks were going of in 15 minutes. We went onto this ride that flew in the air. But 20 minutes later the fireworks hadn't started yet for some reason. Finally it started and my family and I tried to find a good place then after a while we found one. After the fireworks, we went to the "Haunted House". When we got home it was midnight. After a long night I went sleep.

Today at school
Today I got to the door just in time. We went in and got out our instruments and the first thing I did was look at the agenda and music was the first thing in the morning .I got out my homefun [what Mr. Manchester calls homework] and then got my whiteboard and started to do the questions on the board. Then Mr. Manchester told us to go to music.
At music I got out my name tag and my book. The teacher talked to us what to do with these cotton balls we received a long time ago. We also played a song in our book. She then talked to us about our hand positioning.
Then after music we went to science lab and today where learning about seeds. We talked about the parts of a seed [which is the seed coat, the embryo, and the food supply]. Then we got our seeds and measured them. We also got a wet seed and measured that.
After recess we had SSR. I had finished a book so I got a new one. Then we did some pages and corrected our math homefun form last night. I thought it was hard. Then we had language arts and we wrote about a giant ship crashing through a small canal. Then we had lunch. I talked trough the time while we were eating. Then when we went out to play I played tag with some people. Then the bell rang and we went inside. Then we got ready to go home and did our jobs. Then Mr. Manchester told us to go to computer lab. We did our science and math test on the computers. Then after we were down with that we went to freerice.com. Then it was time to go. It was a great day.

Billions
This is too true to be funny.
The next time you hear a politician use the word 'billion' in a casual manner, think about whether you want the 'politicians' spending YOUR tax money.
A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into some perspective in one of it's releases.
A. A billion seconds ago it was 1959.
B. A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive..
C. A billion hours ago our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.
D. A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet.
E. A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes, At the rate our government is spending it. While this thought is still fresh in our brain...let's take a look at New Orleans. It's amazing what you can learn with some simple division.
Louisiana Senator, Mary Landrieu (D) is presently asking Congress for 250 BILLION DOLLARS to rebuild New Orleans Interesting number...What does it mean?
A.Well.... If you are one of the 484,674 residents of New Orleans(every man, woman, and child),you each get $516,528.
B.
Or... If you have one of the 188,251 homes in
New Orleans , your home gets $1,329,787.
C.
Or... If you are a family of four...
Your family gets $2,066,012.

Puzzle of the day
There are there men, one of whom is blind. They go into a dark room with 5 hats, 3 of them white and 2 black. Each men takes a hat and walks out. None of the men can see their own hat The first man looks at the other to and says I don't know what color I have on.The 2nd guy looks at the other two and also says I don't know what color hat I have on. The 3rd guy is blind and based on the other 2 said before him,he says I have a white hat. He's right.
How does he know?
How does he know?
Puzzle of the day answer
The blind guy knows he's wearing white because if guy number 1 says is" I don't know" it means that Guy number 2 and himself can't both be black. Then guy number 2 knows that based on what guy number 1 said, it means that they both can't be black so if the blind guy is black , guy number 2 knows that he is white, but he says "I don't know" because the blind guy is white. Which gives the blind guy enough information to know that he is white.
